  • KASIKORNBANK won “Best for Corporate Governance in Thailand 2004-2008” award and was ranked the fourth Best for Corporate Governance in Asia, as a result of the opinion survey project entitled ‘Poll of polls 2009’ conducted by Asiamoney magazine.

In 2007, the Bank was voted:

  • The “Best Investor Relations” award was bestowed on KBank for earning the highest scores in the corporate governance category for Thai commercial banks by Finance Asia magazine.
  • The “Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Award 2007” was granted to KBank along with Advanced Info Services, the PTT PCL., Siam Cement and Siam Commercial Bank by Corporate Governance Asia magazine.
  • The ‘Best Shareholder Treatment Award’ was given to the Bank at the Shareholder Awards 2007 ceremony by the Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD), in cooperation with the Thai Investors Association, the Listed Companies Association and the Thai Investor Relations Club.
  • Results of the assessment (by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC)) on Annual General Shareholders’ Meetings (AGM) of listed companies for 2007 revealed that the Bank had received a rating of ‘Excellent’, and also received special commendation for exemplary performance in the conducting of our AGM, for the second consecutive year.
  • As a result of the ‘Corporate Governance Polls 2007’ conducted by Asiamoney magazine, in the regional awards for ‘Best Companies in Asia for Corporate Governance’, KASIKORNBANK was again among the top three finalists; at the country level of awards, we received six commendations, i.e., ‘Best Overall for Corporate Governance’, ‘Best for Disclosure and Transparency’, ‘Best for Responsibilities of Management and the Board of Directors’, ‘Best for Shareholders’ Rights and Equitable Treatment’, ‘Best for Investor Relations’, and the ‘Best Investor Relations Officer’ awards.

In 2005, the Bank was voted:

KBank has achieved the corporate governance scoring, at an excellent level, under the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2012 Project.

The Institute of Directors (IOD) announced corporate governance assessment results for 2012, on November 22, 2012, which has been recently announced to focus on listed companies with the assessment scores, at a “Good” level and higher, comprising the companies in the three highest ranges of “Good”, “Very Good” and “Excellent”. Of the total 513 listed companies entering the assessment, only 59 companies have earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, 150 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 171 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. KBank has earned total scores at an “Excellent” level and received 5 National Corporate Governance Committee’s logos

Of the total 497 listed companies entering the assessment, only 47 companies have earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, 145 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 171 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. KBank has earned total scores at an “Excellent” level and received 5 National Corporate Governance Committee’s logos

Of the total 480 listed companies entering the assessment, only 70 companies have earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, 179 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 138 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. Of the total 290 listed companies entering the assessment, only 52 companies have earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, 138 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 86 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. KBank has earned total scores at an “Excellent” level and received 5 National Corporate Governance Committee’s logos.

The Institute of Directors (IOD) announced corporate governance assessment results for 2008, on November 21, 2008, which has been recently announced to focus on listed companies with the assessment scores, at a “Good” level and higher, comprising the companies in the three highest ranges of “Good”, “Very Good” and “Excellent”. Of the total 448 listed companies entering the assessment, only 22 companies have earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, 123 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 177 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. KBank has earned total scores at an “Excellent” level and received 5 National Corporate Governance Committee’s logos.

KBank has achieved the corporate governance rating score, at an excellent level, under the Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2006 Project.

The Institute of Directors (IOD) announced corporate governance assessment results for 2006, on October 27, 2006, which has been recently adjusted to focus on listed companies with the assessment scores, at a “Good” level and higher, comprising the companies in the three highest ranges of “Good”, “Very Good” and “Excellent”, except under an intent of a particular listed company not to disclose the assessment results. Of the total 402 listed companies entering the assessment, only 9 companies have earned total scores at a “Excellent” level, 61 companies have earned total scores at a “Very Good” level and 145 companies have earned total scores at a “Good” level. KBank has earned total scores at an “Excellent” level, or in a range of 90-100 from the total of 100, and received 5 National Corporate Governance Committee’s logos.

“KASIKORNBANK” Won “Board of the Year Award for Exemplary Practices” for 2004-2005

The “Board of the Year for Exemplary Practices” for 2004-2005, has been awarded to KBank by the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), in cooperation with the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Board of Trade of Thailand, Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Bankers’ Association and Listed Companies Association, which together selected companies that have shown international standards in governance practices from a total of 371 listed companies that have volunteered to take part in the program. The announcement of this citation was made on November 28, 2005. Two categories of awards were presented, i.e., the “Board of the Year Award for Exemplary Practices”, and the “Board of the Year for Distinctive Practices”. In 2002, when the program was first launched, there was only one award category, the “Board of the Year” award which was also given to KBank that year.

This year, KASIKORNBANK was presented with the “Board of the Year for Exemplary Practices” award, the second time KBank has won this award since 2002.


“KASIKORNBANK was rated among the top 10 companies with good corporate governance per the project entitled, “Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2005”

Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD), Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange of Thailand announced its corporate governance rating report and a list of the top 100 companies with good corporate governance in the seminar on the “Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2005” held on November 3, 2005. Of 371 companies that were assessed, KASIKORNBANK was placed among the top 10 companies and was rated in Quartile 1, the highest level. Criteria for determining ratings were in accordance with OECD Corporate Governance Principles, comprising five categories, i.e., Rights of Shareholders, Equitable Treatment of Shareholders, Role of Stakeholders, Disclosure and Transparency, and Board Responsibilities.

In 2005, KASIKORNBANK PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED (KBANK) has assigned Thai Rating and Information Services Co., Ltd. (TRIS), an independent corporate governance rating agency approved by the Security and Exchange Commission under the Corporate Governance Rating Program for listed companies, to review the Bank Corporate Governance Rating for the third consecutive year. TRIS has completed the review and corporate governance evaluation based on criteria consisting of shareholders’ rights, composition and roles of the Board of Directors and the Management Committee, disclosure of information, and corporate governance culture. On September 14, 2005, TRIS has announced that KBANK received Corporate Governance Rating at 8.89 from scale of 10 or “Very Good” level.
