How are card interchange fees calculated ?

Interchange fee for full amount swipe

Suppose the price of the item is 9,000 baht

The fee is 3%, or 270 baht: -> product price x fee (9,000 x 3%)

The VAT is 7%, or 18.90 baht -> VAT x fees (270 x 7%)

Net to the merchant's account: 8,711.10 baht = Net to the account = product price – (fee + VAT)

Interchange fee for SmartPay installments

If the store is responsible for the interest there is 0% for a period of 6 months (the bank waives the fee)

Suppose the price of the item is 9,000 baht

The interest rate is 0.8% / month, or 432 baht -> interest rate x installment period (0.8% x 6)

The VAT is 7%, or 30.24 baht

Net into the merchant’s account: 8,537.76 baht -> product price – (interest + VAT) = net amount

If the cardholder is responsible for the interest, period of 6 months

Suppose the price of the item is 9,000 baht

The fee is 1.8%, or 162 baht -> product price x fee (9,000 x 1.8%)

The VAT is 7%, 11.34 baht

Net into the store's account: 8,826.66 baht -> product price – (fee + VAT) = net amount

The merchant gets 8,826.66 baht

The cardholder is charged in the statement = {9,000 + (9,000 x 0.8% x 6)} / 6 = 1,572 baht / month

Where can I get my sales / tax invoice reports ?

At branches near you.
